frequently asked questions
Q: What is reiki?
A: Reiki is universal life energy. Practitioners that are attuned to Reiki place their hands on or above another with the intention of healing and restoring balance to the body.
Q: What is a chakra and what does that have to do with healing?
A: This universal life energy flows through our pathways known as chakras. We have seven of them from the top of our head to the base of the spine. The free and balanced flow of this energy represents our greatest well-being, nourishing our organs and cells. A disruption in this flow leads to diminished function within our physical body. Reiki seeks to fully restore this beautiful flow between the chakras and allow our body the greatest chance to heal itself.
Q: Is Reiki specific to any religion?
A: No. Reiki provides love, healing energy and compassion to a client, but it is not a religion. Reiki is not specific to any belief system and anyone may seek out the benefits of reiki, regardless of beliefs or religion.
Q: Is reiki the thing with needles?
A: No, there are no needles used in a reiki session.
Q: What will I feel during a reiki session?

Q: How many reiki sessions will I need?
